ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct the Bullock cart race to be held on 02.06.2023 at Chinnakalanivasal, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District between 6.00 am to 11.00 am, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct Bullock cart race to be held on 02.06.2023 at Chinnakalanivasal, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District between 6.00 am to 11.00 am, the petitioner made a representation on 08.05.2023 to the respondents and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief. 2/4

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2023 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
