PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.181 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/A4 and A5, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.08.2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 341,366,397, 506(2) of IPC in crime No.181 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners herein along with other accused had committed gang rape on the defacto complainant and also had taken jewels, button cellphone and cash of Rs.3000/- from the defacto complainant, hence the case.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report and also the statement of the victim recorded under section 164 of Cr.P.C. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. On perusal of the statement recorded under section 164 Cr.P.C it is revealed that the accused persons had committed rape on the victim repeatedly. That apart they also committed robbery, therefore the petitioners have committed a very serious and heinous offence as against the victim, hence this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
