2.The petitioners have filed applications under Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status of Workmen Act), 1981, in the year 2010. However, even after counter affidavit filed by the second and third respondents, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the first respondent, till date, has not taken up the said applications. As a result, the petitioners conferment have not been made. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court seeking a direction for early disposal of the petition filed on the file of the first respondent.

3.Mr. Raja Karthikeyan and Mr.D.Muruganatham, learned Additional Government Pleaders, takes notice for the first respondent in both petitions respectively and sought sufficient time, since the applications, which have been filed, are pending for almost 7 long years.

4. Therefore, this Court finds no impediment to direct the first respondent to dispose of the pending applications. 5.Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioners' applications on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date receipt of copy of this order.

6.These writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
