Respondents PRAYER:This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the arrears of salary from 01.08.2009 to till date and pay the salary to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2019 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioner brought this judicial review petition challenging the inordinate delay in disposing of the representation dated 21.11.2019.

3.According to the petitioner, the respondents are liable to pay arrears of salary from 01.08.2009 to till date, which they have not paid. Further they are also liable to pay salary to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner made a detailed representation on 21.11.2019. Though the said representation has been made one year back, the same has not been disposed of by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner approaches this Court by way of this writ petition.

W.P.(MD)No.13988 of 2020 4.Mr.N.Shanmugaselvan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2019 will be considered, within a period of four weeks on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and on perusing the records, it appears that there is a considerable delay in decision making process on the part of the respondents in disposing of the representation. Therefore, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.11.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
