PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records in S.T.C.No.65 of 2020, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate (Fast Track Court), Theni and quash the same.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed for quashment of the proceedings initiated against the petitioner, under Sections 138 and 142 of Negotiable Instruments Act by the learned Judicial Magistrate (FTC), Theni in STC No.65 of 2020.

2.During the arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit though the petition has been filed for quashing the proceedings against the petitioner, now he would pray only with regard to the time limit for disposal of the case, since the case is of the year 2020.

3.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate (Fast Track Court), Theni to expedite and complete the trial and dispose of the case on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
