ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the first information report in Cr.No.167 of 2024 pending on the file of the first respondent Police.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that the investigation in this case has been completed and a final report has also been filed through E.Filing in No.1709174 of 2024 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.4, Madurai.
3.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report through E-filing is not enough. It is the duty of the first respondent Police to ensure that the final report is taken on file. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.4, Madurai is expected to take up the final report on file, without any delay, if it is otherwise in order.
