ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to implement the order, dated 03.12.2016 in Office order 1906/F.1/F.12/2016-1 passed by the third respondent, by relieving the petitioner from the post of Junior Auditor and reverting him to the post of assessor and direct the respondents to post the petitioner as assessor at any of the existing vacancies in Tirunelveli Electricity Distribution Circle.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Though the writ petition is filed seeking a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner confines the same to the extent that the representation of the petitioner may be directed to be considered by the respondents within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection in granting such relief to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the relief now sought for by the petitioner, which has not been objected by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
