The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of his representation dated 25.04.2016. 2.Mr. M.Alagadevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3.By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.It is stated that the petitioner gave an application to the Public Information Officer, Taluk Office, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, under Right to Information Act, who in turn sent a communication dated 24.03.2016 to the petitioner stating that the file regarding the information sought for by the petitioner is in custody of the respondent and the petitioner may approach the respondent for further progress. It is further seen that as per direction of the Public Information Officer, Taluk Office, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
preferred an application before the respondent on 25.04.2016, which according to the petitioner, till date, has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court with the relief as stated supra.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition and without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.04.2016 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, also by hearing any other rival parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
