Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to give education loan to the petitioner's son namely Pratheep as per the estimate report given by the Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal for a sum of Rs.3,82,800/- for the period of 1st to 4th years. ORDER
The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the second respondent to provide education loan to the petitioner's son Pradheep.
2. Heard Mr.M.Ramu, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent and Mr.K.Periasamy, learned counsel for the second respondent.
3. According to the petitioner, he is an agriculture coolie and his son Pradheep has now joined in Engineering Course for the academic year 2016-17 under sports quota in Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal.

4. The petitioner would further state that he approached
the second respondent for financial assistance by filing an application on 07.10.2016. Since the loan was not sanctioned, the present writ petition has been filed.
5. The second respondent has filed a counter stating that the petitioner had produced some sports certificates, however, he did not give any application for loan and other required documents. If the petitioner applied with the second respondent along with necessary documents, he is ready to consider the same.
6. In view of the above fact, the second respondent is directed to issue loan application to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall apply with all the necessary documents within a period of two weeks therefrom. The respondents shall consider the application as per the norms.
