ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The respondent police registered a case as against the petitioner in Crime No.457 of 2023 for the offence under Section 8 (c) r/w. Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and Sections 294(b), 353, 506 (ii) I.P.C. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this 1/3

petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of 60 grams of Ganja and abused the respondent police in filthy language and also threatened him with dire consequences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent opposed for grant of bail on the ground that the petitioner is having eight previous cases.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of offence and also considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
