PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action against the 3rd respondent, on the basis of the representation dated 23.06.2022 for excommunicating the petitioner and his relatives from participating in the Sri Kaliamman and other temple festival situated at Ellaipatty, R. O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action against the 3rd respondent, on the basis of the representation, dated 23.06.2022 for excommunicating the petitioner and his relatives from participating in the Sri Kaliamman and other temple festival situated at Ellaipatty, R. Puthukottai Village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District to be conducted on 03.07.2022 to 05.07.2022.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the Mr.T.Villavan Kothai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the 2nd respondent Thasildar already conducted Peace Committee Meeting on 18.06.2022 and in the said Peace Committee Meeting, the parties have participated and accepted to celebrate the temple festival without any creating any 2/5

problem and the same was recorded and signed by the parties as well as the Thasildar.

3. Now, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the third respondent creating problem and also seeking that he may permitted to approach the Thasildar. Already, the Thasildar had conducted the enquiry on 18.06.2022 between the rival parties and they have arrived at compromise to celebrate the temple festival. Now, the third respondent alone creating the problem.

4. In such circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the 2nd respondent / Thasildar for peacefully conducting the temple festival. No costs. 01.07.2022 Index :Yes/No Internet: yes / No trp Note : Issue order copy on 01.07.2022 3/5
