Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2024 and consequently to direct the fourth respondent to give adequate protection for worship and pooja on the 2nd day of the Arulmigu Mahakaliamman temple situated at Ganapathipuram Village at Pudukkottai District scheduled on 24.06.2024.

Heard both sides.

2.The larger issue raised in the writ petition cannot be adjudicated by the writ Court. The petitioner will have to necessarily move the jurisdictional civil Court for relief. The contesting respondents however made it clear that there is absolutely no restriction on the right to worship. The petitioner can very well worship like any other devotee. Beyond this, no other relief can be granted.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
