ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the police not to harass the petitioner basing on the representation dated 02.05.2023, given by the third respondent.

2. It is submitted by the petitioner that the petitioner has purchased property from the third respondent for which he has paid the entire sale consideration before the Sub Registrar concerned, at the time of registration. The third respondent who has not handed over the link documents, demanding more money in order to hand over the link documents. He has filed a complaint before the police dated 02.05.2023 with false allegations, basing on which, the respondent police are allegedly harassing the petitioner.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, who has reported that on receipt of a representation of the third respondent, the police have issued notice to the petitioner to appear in order to enquire about the contents of the complaint given by the third respondent. However, the petitioner did not choose to appear and have filed this application before this Court. 2/4

Considering the circumstances, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to appear before the concerned police within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such appearance, the police shall enquire the petitioner considering the representation of the third respondent and dispose of the same within a period of two weeks thereafter.
