Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the 2nd respondent in Proceedings Ni.Mu.(A4)/8888/2024 dated 25.03.2025 and quash the same, subsequently, to direct the respondents to mutate the Patta in favour of the petitioner and his family members in Survey Nos.261/18, 261/37, 261/38, 261/39, 261/47, 261/48, 261/49 and 261/50 situated in Pothanathi Village, Kakkudi Group, Abhiramam, Kamudhi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. ORDER

The writ petition is filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent cancelling the assignment patta issued to the petitioner.

2. As against the impugned order passed by the second respondent, a remedy is available to the petitioner before the District Revenue Officer.

3. It is seen from the impugned order that the petitioner participated in the enquiry before the second respondent and due opportunity was given to 2/4

him. In such circumstances, the petitioner is not entitled to invoke the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court without availing an alternative remedy. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed. Liberty is given to the petitioner to file a revision before the Revisional Authority. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
