O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithurai, to dispose of the C.C.No.170 of 2017.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case was registered on 21.06.2017. Thereafter, the final report has been filed in C.C.No.170 of 2017, which is pending before learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithurai. He would further submit that after receiving the summons, the petitioner/sole accused has been regularly appearing before the Court and the respondents are not producing the witnesses for no reason and would submit that the petitioner has a right of speedy trial and he would seek for a direction to the trial Judge to dispose of the case in C.C.No.170 of 2017, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are 10 witnesses in this case.

4. In the above circumstances, there will a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithurai, to complete the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.170 of 2017, preferably, within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition shall stand closed.
