*********** [Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give exemption from conducting tender for fishing right at Virathanur Kanmoi and to give preference to Virathanur village, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2017.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the fishing rights of the said village should be exempted from auction. Such a contention, in our considered view, cannot be accepted. However, we direct the respondents to give preference to the villagers of Virathanur, provided all other things are equal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The Writ Petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
