O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2017 and to permit his community people to observe 5th day Mandagapadi on 17.08.2017 and to worship the goddess Muthumariamman during Aavani festival in Sri Muthumariamman Temple, Pandipathiram, Aavudaiyarkoil Taluk, Pudukottai District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that since the petitioner's community people were not allowed to observe 5th day of Mandagapadi for the past two years, he has made a representation dated 12.07.2017 to the respondents, requesting them to permit the petitioner's community people to observe 5th day of Mandagapadi. Since no order has been passed on the petitioner's representation, this writ petition has been filed for the relief as stated supra. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that if sufficient time is granted, the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, the petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the representation dated 12.07.2017 along with a copy of this order to the respondents. On receipt of such representation, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(P&A) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar.
