PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.2 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The petition coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 13.10.2020 and the requisition letter of the Sessions Judge, Special Court for exclusive trial of cases under POCSO Act, Srivilliputhur, vide letter in D.No.729/2022, dated 23/04/2022, this court made the following order:

This matter is listed today under the caption 'for extension of time'.

2.It is seen from the records that this Court vide order dated 13.10.2021, directed the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under POCSO Act, Srivilliputtur, to complete the trial proceedings in SPL.S.C.No.41 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of copy of that order. Subsequently, at the instance of the learned Sessions Judge three months further time was granted vide order dated 27.10.2021. Thereafter, the learned Judge has sent a requisition dated 22.02.2022, seeking three months further time to dispose of the case.

CRL OP(MD) No.11201 of 2020 3.It is further evident that the learned Sessions Judge has also submitted a report dated 23.04.2022, stating that he has already examined 21 witnesses P.W.1 to P.W.21 and that the petition under Section 311 of Cr.P.C to re-call P.W.1 is filed and the same is pending.

4. Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to grant three months time as sought for.

5.Accordingly, three months time is granted for disposing the above case.
