ORDER
The petitioner's claim for medical reimbursement under the New India Health Insurance Scheme, arising out his wife's ailments, was favourably recommended by the DLEC. Pursuant to such recommendation, the Insurance Company, the fifth respondent herein, had sought for certain supporting documents, namely, (1) Original Investigation Report (2) Original Cash receipts for the payments made to the Hospitals, from the petitioner, for the purpose of disbursement of the eligible amount. Pursuant to such claim, the petitioner herein 2/6
had submitted photocopies of the two documents sought for by the Insurance Company, on 19.01.2022. In view of the future inaction, this writ petition has been filed.
2.Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is willing to submit the Original Investigation Report and Original Cash Receipts to the Insurance Company. 3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Insurance Company also submitted that if such original documents are furnished, they would process the medi-claim as expeditiously as possible.
4.In view of the submissions made, the petitioner is granted liberty to make a fresh representation including the Original Investigation Report and Original Cash Receipts, to the Insurance Company, the fifth respondent herein and on receipt of the same, the Insurance Company, the fifth respondent herein shall process the same and disburse the eligible claim amount to the petitioner, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of such representation. 3/6
5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
