O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The petitioner did his 10th standard in the third respondent school. He completed in the year 2018. Thereafter, he joined polytechnic course. The petitioner has now noted that his date of birth was given as 16.10.2002. At the time of admission in the fourth respondent school at the primary stage, his date of birth was given as 16.10.2002. But when he joined the third respondent school, his date of birth was wrongly given as 16.10.2003. His actual date of birth is 16.10.2001.

3. All that the petitioner wants is correction in the School Leaving Certificate as per the Birth Certificate. 2/4

4. The petitioner is permitted to submit an appropriate application to the third respondent. The application should be addressed to the first respondent but the third respondent is the proper channel through which the application has to be received. After receipt of the same, the third respondent will forward the same to the second respondent within a period of two weeks, thereafter. The second respondent shall forward the same to the first respondent within a period of two weeks, thereafter. Since one's date of birth should be as per the Birth Certificate, the first respondent will make necessary changes as per the petitioner's Birth Certificate. This shall be done by the first respondent as expeditiously as possible, after receipt of the application from the second respondent. The changes sought for by the petitioner will be carried out in both the Transfer Certificate as well as 10th standard Mark Statement. This writ petition stands allowed on these terms. No costs.
