By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the first respondent to release the petitioner's passport with Booklet Number : N5287046 which has been under the custody of the first respondent pursuant to the surrender certificate issued on 12.09.2018 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate, Mrs.M.Aasha on instructions submitted that, no case is pending as 2/5

against the petitioner either with the Q Branch CID / second respondent or the third respondent.

4. In view of the same, this Court hereby direct the first respondent to release the passport of the petitioner with Booklet Number : N5287046, which is under their custody within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
