*********** [Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice.] On the face of the averments, it appears that the third respondent has started a temple in her own land, which is near a Church. India is a secular country. Equal respect for all religions is a basic feature of our Constitution. Christians, Hindus, Mohammedans or persons of any other religious groups have a fundamental right to profess, practise and propagate religion. In the absence of contravention of public order, morality or health or of any law, it is not for the Courts to interfere with any kind of religious practice. Needles to mention that nobody should be obstructed from going to St.John's CSI Church or for that matter to any other Church for prayers. obstruction or impediment caused to the Christians who go to pray at the St.John's CSI Church.
