ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the first respondent and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 2 and 3.

2. The petitioner appears to be an accused in six different criminal complaints, out of which two cases have been resulted in acquittal, one case has been resulted in conviction, in other two cases, investigation is going on and the last case is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Thanjavur in C.C.No.1 of 2021, for the offences under Sections 279, 304A and 337 of IPC.

3. Considering the above, there cannot be a positive direction directly at this stage from this Court. Under these circumstances, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed. However, Liberty is given to the petitioner to move learned Judicial 2/4

Magistrate-II, Thanjavur, for appropriate directions to facilitate the first respondent to re-issue the passport to the petitioner.
