O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to give appropriate drought relief fund to the petitioner, by considering his representation dated 20.03.2017.

2.Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that he is doing agriculture in his village at Thanjavur. Due to lack of water, his crops were destroyed. Therefore, he applied for benefit from the drought relief fund. Since no reply has been received, he enquired with the Village Administrative Officer concerned and he came to understand that the computer operator did not enter his name. Hence, he sent a representation to the second respondent/Tahsildar on 20.03.2017. Even thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

claim made by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
