ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to appoint a Village Administrative Officer at Pudhupattinam Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has argued to the effect that already a Village Administrative Officer has served in Pudhupattinam Village, but due to political https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
pressure, the office of Village Administrative Officer, Pudhupattinam Village has been transferred to Aandikadu and since Pudhupattinam Village is situate in coastal area, everyday so many problems are being cropped up and under the said circumstances a representation has been given to the District Collector, Thanjavur to appoint a Village Administrative Officer exclusively for Pudhupattinam Village, but the same has not been considered and therefore the present writ petition has been filed. 3.It is seen from the records that on 07.05.2016, a representation has been given to the first respondent, but the first respondent has not taken any steps.
4.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondents 2 to 4 are strictly directed to look into the representation dated 07.05.2016 and dispose of the same within a period of one month.
