PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.190 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.190 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 448, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) IPC altered into Sections 147, 148, 448, 294(b), 323, 324, 307 and 506(ii) IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that there was a wordy quarrel between the defacto complainant and the first petitioner's wife. On account of that, on 26.05.2024 at 2.00 p.m., when the defacto complainant was speaking with her relatives, the accused persons entered into the house of the defacto complainant, attacked them with an iron rod and wooden log and caused injuries.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. However, they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 2/4

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) raised serious objection stating that in the alleged occurrence, three persons have sustained injuries and they are still taking treatment in the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai.

5. Considering the nature of offence and also considering the fact that the injured persons are still taking treatment in the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
