Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on their representations dated 14.06.2017 requesting to appoint the petitioners as Grade-II Librarian in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.243, School Education (K1) Department, dated 27.11.2006 with all consequential service and monetary benefits to the petitioner, within the time stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.These petitioners were appointed as Part time Village Librarians on 28.02.1996 and 29.06.1992 respectively. As they worked for a long time, pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos.4331 and 4332/2008, the services of both the petitioners were regularised and they are also presently serving as Village Librarians. In this background, the claim of the petitioners is that they are entitled to be appointed as Grade III Librarian, as per G.O.Ms.No.243 School Education (K1) Department dated 27.11.2006. Similarly placed persons have been given promotion to the post of Grade III Librarian and some of them https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

including the petitioners were left out. In similar circumstances, this Court, by order dated 05.06.2017 in W.P.(MD) No.13775/2016 had directed the respondents therein to consider the petitioners' representations. Therefore, a similar direction may be given, he pleaded.

3. Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, sought sufficient time to consider the petitioners' representations, as they are continuously working.

4. Recording his submission, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the case of the petitioner, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.243 School Education (K1) Department dated 27.11.2006, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
