O R D E R

Heard Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the fourth respondent.

2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to implement the order of the first respondent in N.M.K.No.52769/2023/F1 dated 11.09.2023 and appointment him in the existing vacancies in the Karur Panchayat Union within a stipulated time. 2/6

3. It is learnt that there are certain posts vacant in the Karur Panchayat Union and they are yet to be filled up.

Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that in pursuant to the proceedings of the first respondent dated 11.09.2023 in N.M.K.No. 52769/2023/F1, the second respondent has drawn the existing number of vacancies in certain posts and forwarded the same to the first respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.PV6/6927/2023 dated 22.11.2023.

5. Mr.Rajarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the second respondent has forwarded such proceedings on 22.11.2023, till date, no steps have been taken by the respondents in this regard.

6. Obviously, there are certain posts vacant in Karur Panchayat Union. The first respondent has already adviced the second respondent to take necessary steps to fill up the vacant posts. The second respondent 3/6

has also drawn the requirement list. Even in the proceedings of the first respondent itself it is stated that the third respondent is the appointing authority in this regard. In such case, it is for the third respondent to take appropriate steps in this regard.

In view of the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of and the third respondent is directed to take appropriate steps in accordance with the requirement list arrived by the second respondent vide proceedings dated 22.11.2023 and as adviced by the first respondent in proceedings dated 11.09.2023 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
