Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's case for up-gradation in the cadre of Sub Inspector of Police on par with his batch mate Mr.S.Ganesan in the light of the Judgement pronounced in W.P.(MD).No.19854 of 2010, dated 09.11.2010 and thereby sanction all service and monetary benefits within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. *********** Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The petitioner is presently working as Sub Inspector of Police in the Armed Reserve. He seeks up-gradation in the said cadre on par with his batch mate Ganesan. In this regard the petitioner gave a representation dated 28.06.2017.
4. This Court directs the third respondent to consider the said representation and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks.
