By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground, based on his representation, dated 22.06.2020.
3. It is the contention of the petitioner that his mother was appointed as Assistant in Noon Meal Center at Kollankulam Primary School, Madurai East, Madurai on 31.08.2007 and she worked about 12 years and she passed away on 30.04.2019, due to heart attack. The petitioner, his brother one Harish, his sister Kanimozhi and his father Malaichamy are her legal heirs. The petitioner has completed his secondary education on 27.05.2011 and subsequently, he completed his Diploma in the year 2014. Therefore, he made a representation to the first respondent on 18.11.2019, through the second respondent, requesting him to give compassionate appointment. W.P(MD).No.14191 of 2020 said representation, the petitioner has enclosed the death certificate of his mother, legal heir certificate, School certificates and other relevant documents including the consent letter of the other legal heirs. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.
4. Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that the first respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.06.2020.
5. In view of the above, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.06.2020 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
