O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose the Patta Appeal in Na.Ka.No.4996 of 2016 within the stipulated time. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. 3.The only grievance of the petitioner is that aggrieved over the order passed by the Tahsidar, Usilampatti, he preferred an appeal before the respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Usilampatti, on 16.12.2016. But for the past seven months, there is no progress. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to dispose the patta appeal in Na.Ka.No.4996 of 2016 dated 16.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
