O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue Computer Patta/Chitta, on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 29.06.2017 and 10.07.2017.

2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, his father Sachidhanandam owned vast extent of lands in Survey Nos.306/3C, 330/8B, 306/3A, 332/3B, 333/2B2, 306/2, 305/2 and 332/1 in Kalanivasal Village, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District. He was issued patta in Patta No.209.

4. The petitioner would state that his father died on 31.01.1997 leaving behind the petitioner and his mother, sisters and brothers as legal heirs and thereafter, they approached the respondents to issue computer patta/chitta by submitting their representations dated 29.06.2017 and 10.07.2017. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition is filed.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent/Tahsildar to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 29.06.2017 and 10.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
