Respondent/Complainant For Petitioner : Mr.S.Sivakumar, Advocate For Respondent : Mr.P.Kottai Chamy Government Advocate(Crl. side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime no.132 of 2021 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 379 of IPC in Crime No.132 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is reported by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that the petitioner is having 18 other cases of similar nature in Crime Nos.173 and 168 of 2019, 391, 355, 171 and 105 of 2015 on the file of Arumanai Police Station, Crime Nos.56 and 40 of 2019 and 67 of 2015 on the file of Kadaiyalumoodu Police Station, Crime Nos.255, 249, 238, 232 and 166 of 2019 on the file of Thiruvattar Police Station and Crime Nos.464 and 158 of 2015, 242 of 2014 and 205 of 2013 on the file of Kulasekaram Police Station.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner disputed the same and contended that only 15 cases are pending against the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD)No.10927 of 2021 petitioner and out of the 15 cases, 8 cases ended in acquittal. Now, only 7 cases are pending against the petitioner. He would submit that initially, the respondent Police registered a case for chain snatching and now they are registering a case for vehicle theft. According to him, all these cases are falsely foisted against the petitioner. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Since this petitioner is involved in several cases of similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
