This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Counsel for the first respondent and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2025 to re-issue a passport in file No.MD1077507467325 dated 24.03.2025 pending before the first respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent submits that a criminal case is pending against the petitioner before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirupattur in C.C.No.187 of 2024. 2/4

4. Considering the same, granting of any positive relief to the petitioner at the stage cannot be countenanced. Therefore, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed with the liberty to the petitioner to move before the concerned Court for appropriate orders under the Passport Act, 1967.
