ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed directing the respondents 1 and 3 to provide Police Protection to the petitioner and her family members by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2022.

2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner's nephew namely, Maruthu Paul Sahib has been detained at Central Prison, Madurai with regard to murder of the son of the fourth respondent. Being a relative to the said Maruthu Paul Sahib, the petitioner was continuously threatened by the fourth respondent and her family members. In this regard, the petitioner preferred a complaint dated 19.06.2022 seeking Police protection. But, no action has been taken. Aggrieved over the same, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that an F.I.R. has been registered in Crime No.140 of 2022 for offences under Sections 506(i) I.P.C and 109 I.P.C. 2/4

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the respondent Police to investigate the matter and take suitable action on that matter. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
