Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondents 2 to 5 to depute sufficient police personnel at Government Girls Othakadai Higher Secondary School, Ulaganeri in the morning from 08.00 am to 9.30 am and in the evening from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm to for the safety of the Minor School Children or establishment of permanent police outpost within or adjacent to school premises by considering the representation dated 22.04.2025 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents 2 to 5 to depute sufficient police personnels at Government Girls Othakadai Higher Secondary School, Ulaganeri.
2.The writ petitioner has raised sufficient allegations relating to women harassment and other serious nuisance caused to the girls studying in the Government School.
3.This Court has directed the Superintendent of Police, Madurai and the Panchyat to make arrangements for installation of police outpost. The direction has been implemented in coordination with the Superintendent of Police and the Panchayat. The strict action taken by the Superintendent of Police, Madurai and the Officials of Panchayat stand appreciated.
4. The Police Booth must be maintained properly by the Panchayat 3/6
as well as by the Police authorities and patrolling and other monitoring activities nearby the schools and the locality is to be made without any lapse or otherwise. Thus, the police outpost must be continued to remain for the benefit of the children studying in the Government school and the road users in that locality.
