Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 05.02.2017 at night in connection with "Temple Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman Kovil, at Mamsapuram Village, Srivilliputtur Taluk, Virudhunagar District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Ramalingam For Respondents : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme scheduled to be held on 05.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 17.01.2017, a representation has been given by the petitioner and the same has not been considered by the respondents. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Mamsapuram Police Station, Virudhunagar District is directed to look into the representation dated 17.01.2017 and dispose of the same immediately.
