Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to promote the petitioner as Branch Manager forthwith with effect from 22.11.2017 on which his junior in rank namely A.Gunaseelan has been promoted as Branch Manager by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2020 and 11.09.2020 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief in this writ petition, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he has restricted his prayer only to dispose of the representations of the petitioner, dated 02.03.2020 and 11.09.2020 within a time frame.
3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that his junior was promoted on 22.11.2017. Therefore, he has made representations dated 02.03.2020 and 11.09.2020 respectively to the respondent, to promote him on par with his junior with effect from 22.11.2017 and he has narrated all the relevant particulars how he is entitled for the promotion. However, the said representations have not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

4. Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent would dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks time.
5. Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 02.03.2020 and 11.09.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
