ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to grant monetary and other eligible benefits with interest to the petitioner, based on his representation, dated 24.04.2017, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.In view of the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, notice to the respondent is dispensed with. 3.The petitioner was employed as Conductor in the respondent Corporation. According to the petitioner, due to some omissions, he was removed from service by an order dated 14.07.2008, against which, he filed I.D.No.14 of 2004, wherein the Labour Court, Madurai directed the respondent to reinstate him with continuity of service, but without back-wages and the said order was not challenged. Thereafter, he was reinstated only on 08.02.2010. But, the increment and other benefits were not granted to him. He retired from service on 31.03.2012 on reaching the age of superannuation. Since the monetary and other eligible benefits have not been given, he made a representation to the petitioner and the same has not been considered so far.

Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 24.04.2017, is disposed of by the respondent as per law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.04.2017, and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is disposed of as above.
