ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "For the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 5 to ensure the peaceful conduction of the Vaikasi festival in Arulmigu Kalamegaperumal Temple, Thirumogur, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District from 24.05.2023 to 04.06.2023 and to ensure that respondents 3 and 4 do not offer any privilege, preference or special status, special honour or first honour or Parivatta Mariyathai to anybody including respondents 10 to 15 during the Vaikasi festival."

2. All parties were heard and ultimately, with the consent of all parties, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions: (a) The second respondent shall issue notice to all parties (members of the four Karais) to appear before him in order to ascertain the modality as to how honour relating to the Vaikasi Perundhiruvizha has to be given to the parties; and (b)The second respondent shall also consider conferring this honour by rotation to the persons who are entitled to the same. It is needless to state that there shall be no disturbance to the conduct of the festival for this year, which has commenced on 24.05.2023 and which is to conclude on 04.06.2023.

3. In the counter filed by the tenth respondent, it has been clearly stated that one Mr.Bose, son of Pichai Ambalam has to receive the honour and the same shall be accorded to him. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
