For Respondent : Mr.T.Senthilkumar, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 18/2021 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 354A, 354D, 509, 109 IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.18 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein is working as Assistant Professor in Bishop Heber College Trichy and she induced the girl students to have make-up and meet the Head of the Department and facilitated him to misbehave with the girl students. CRL OP(MD)No.10962 of 2021 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed this petition by stating that there is specific overt act as against the petitioner herein that she facilitated the first accused, who is HOD, to misbehave with the girl students and she insisted the girl students to have make up and meet the Head of the Department.

5.Considering the specific allegations levelled against the petitioner that she insisted the girl students to have make up and meet the Head of the Department and facilitated him to misbehave with the girl students, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
