O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondent to effect sub division and to demarcate the Plot No.39, measuring to an extent of 4230 sq.ft situated in S.No.33/2 at Keelamathikattinam Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he has submitted an application on 03.03.2016 along with prescribed fees to the respondent for measurement and demarcation of the property and even after receipt of the payment, the respondent has not taken any steps to arrange for the same.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has specifically submitted that there is no suit pending before any of the competent Civil Court in respect of the property.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader has contended that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondent by this Court, the process of demarcation, as sought for by the petitioner will be completed.

6. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the respondent to arrange for measurement and demarcation of the property, on the basis of the petitioner's application dated 03.03.2016 and complete the said exercise, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due notice to the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any,.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No. costs.
