[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Today, Mr.S.Mohamed Noortheen, Sub-Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai District, is present.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Indhumathi, aged about 30 years went missing since 15.10.2018 leaving behind two children and hence, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

3. On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Melur Police Station Crime No.682 of 2018 for woman missing has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

registered and investigation is in progress. During investigation, it came to light that Indhumathi had developed intimacy with one Hariram, who was already married and eloped with him.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor also submitted that Hariram's wife Sonia Devi has also lodged a complaint and both the complaints are under enquiry. In view of the fact that Indhumathi is not in the illegal confinement of anyone, the habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the respondent Police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.682 of 2018 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any, from time to time.
