This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to dispose of revenue appeal under Patta proceedings in Na.Ka.Aa 6/4717/2015. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that the land to an extent of 2.75 Ares in S.No.92/7 situated at Kazhukurani village originally belongs to his mother. After her demise, the petitioner and his brothers and sisters have approached the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram for mutation of their names in the revenue records and the same was mutated by the Deputy Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram. In the year 2015, when the petitioner checked the revenue records regarding the land in S.No.92/7 through Tamil Nadu Government Website, he became aware that the extent of the above land was reduced as 0.56 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Ares. Hence, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent challenging the alterations in the revenue records. Since no progress in the said appeal for the past two years, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to dispose of revenue appeal filed under Patta proceedings in Na.Ka.Aa 6/4717/2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
