The petitioner, an octogenarian with a grievance that his own son and his daughter-in-law have cheated him, by taking his ATM Card and withdrawn a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- from his bank account without his consent, has lodged a complaint and filed this writ petition that his complaint, dated 23.04.2025 was not attended by the respondent police.

2.Today(03.06.2025), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 3 to 5, on instructions submits that the complaint 2/5

of this petitioner was treated as petition enquiry in Current paper No.N.Dis No.P4/16501/1350/SP-GDP/2025. The respondent police has enquired the petitioner, however, he refused to give statement as against his own son and daughter-in-law. The enquiry reveals that the complaint was lodged by the petitioner at the instance of his another daughter and therefore, it was closed. 3.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner. It is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if any required. No costs.
