O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.07.2017 and to grant permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 05.08.2017 and 06.08.2017 at Achampathu Village, Madurai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the villagers jointly decided to conduct Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 05.08.2017 and 06.08.2017 at Achampathu Village, Madurai District. He would further submit that in this connection, representation was given to the respondents on 13.07.2017, with a request to grant permission and protection to conduct the programme https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on the above said date. However, the respondent Police has not considered the said representation and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent police has already granted permission vide proceedings dated 29.07.2017 to conduct Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 05.08.2017 and 06.08.2017 at Achampathu Village, Madurai District subject to certain conditions and produced a copy of the same before this Court.

5. In such circumstances, no further order is necessary except directing the petitioner to adhere to the conditions imposed by the respondent police. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
