Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the second respondent to give a police protection for the petitioner's life and limb as well as his property comprising in survey No.13/10, 40/1 and 40/2 totally 2 acres 16 cents situated at Anailpatti Village, Dindigul Taluk, Dindigul District on the basis of his representation, dated 29.09.2018 in accordance with law.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to give police protection for the petitioner's life and limb as well as his property comprising in survey No.13/10, 40/1 and 40/2 totally 2 acres 16 cents situated at Anailpatti Village, Dindigul Taluk, Dindigul District on the basis of his representation, dated 29.09.2018 in accordance with law. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on instructions, would submit that the respondent police would give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members, if there is threat to them. He would further submit that based on the representation, dated 29.09.2018, the respondent has initiated an enquiry.

4.Taking note of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the second respondent is directed to fix the date at the earliest and summon the parties and conducted an enquiry, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
