Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the respondents to pay me surrender leave salary for 104.5 days of Rs.1,52,086 for the years 2011-2017 together with interest at the rate of 18 percentage p.a from the date of retirement to till the date of disbursement within the time that may be stipulated by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the nature and circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

Cont.P.(MD) No.1080 of 2021 therefore, appropriate steps are to be taken by the respondents to settle the interest amount as expeditiously as possible. 3.The learned counsel for the respondents also assures the Court that he will give appropriate instructions to the competent authority to take steps to settle the interest amount as quick as possible.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Contempt Petition stands closed. No costs.
