PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.240 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested on 26.04.2024 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 341,294(b), 323, 307, 387 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.240 1/3

of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 17.03.2024, the petitioner along with the other accused wrongfully restrained the defacto complainant, abused him in filthy language and demanded money from him, by showing wooden log and when the same was refused by the defacto complainant, the petitioner assaulted him and also made criminal intimidation.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. For statistical purpose, the petitioner has been implicated in this case. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent strongly objects for grant of bail to the petitioner that the petitioner is having 55 cases to his credit. In some of the cases, the petitioner has been acquitted on the ground that the witnesses have not deposed as against the petitioner. If the petitioner is released on bail, he would deter the witnesses. 5.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor shall direct the police officers concerned to file an application along with a copy of this order before the concerned Magistrate Courts to expedite the trial in all the cases pending as against the petitioner and to conclude the same at the earliest. 2/3
