2. Apprehending that a drainage channel would be constructed and the drainage water would be let out in the petition-mentioned irrigation channel, this writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate on instructions from the respondents states that the apprehension of the writ petitioner is ill-founded. It is made clear that the course of water channel in the petition-mentioned survey numbers will be maintained as such and no public drainage system will be connected to the said irrigation 2/4

4. Recording the stand of the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
